This Privacy Policy describes how Uber Dad Jokes LLC collects, uses, stores, and protects information in the Trivia Battle mobile application (“App”) and related services. By using the App, you consent to the practices described below.

1. INFORMATION WE COLLECT

We collect only the minimum data required to operate the App, deliver gameplay features, maintain fairness, and comply with platform requirements.

1.1 Account Information

If you sign in using Apple Sign-In, we receive:

  • Email address (may be private/relay depending on your Apple settings)

  • Apple-issued user identifier (non-sensitive)

  • Your display name if Apple provides it (rare)

We do not receive your Apple password or any sensitive credential.

Your Profile stored in Supabase includes:

  • Email

  • Username (chosen by you)

  • Avatar selection

  • Basic gameplay stats (wins, losses, ties, correct questions, etc.)

1.2 Gameplay Data

We store:

  • Questions you answer

  • Correct/incorrect counts

  • Timing of responses in battles

  • Battles you play, match results, and event logs

  • Submitted questions and question reports

This information is required for:

  • Fair gameplay

  • Anti-cheating protections

  • Admin review

  • Leaderboards and performance tracking

  • Improving question quality

1.3 User-Generated Content

You may submit:

  • Trivia questions

  • Suggested answers

  • Trivia host game configurations

  • Team names

  • In-app support messages

We store this content to operate the App and, where applicable, allow admins to review and moderate it.

1.4 Friends & Social Features

When you add friends, we collect:

  • Friend relationships

  • Pending and accepted friend requests

We do not access your device contacts.

1.5 Optional Support Requests

If you submit a support ticket, we collect:

  • Your message

  • Support category

  • Your user identifier (if signed in)

1.6 System & Device Information

Automatically collected:

  • App version

  • Device type

  • iOS version

  • Crash reports

  • Push notification token (if enabled)

We do not collect:

  • Location

  • Contact lists

  • Photos

  • Payment cards directly

  • Sensitive categories of personal data

2. HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION

We use collected information to:

  • Create and manage your account

  • Provide trivia practice and battle modes

  • Match you with other players

  • Moderate user-submitted questions

  • Detect duplicates, cheating, and abuse

  • Power friends lists and invitations

  • Improve question quality through feedback

  • Operate future weekly skill-based contests

  • Provide customer support

  • Comply with applicable laws and Apple/App Store policies

3. WEEKLY SKILL-BASED CONTESTS (FUTURE FEATURE)

The App may offer optional free-to-enter weekly trivia contests.
If you participate, we will collect and store:

  • Timestamped answer submissions

  • Elimination status

  • Contest ranking

  • Eligibility confirmations (e.g., age 18+ for cash prizes)

These contests are based on skill and do not require purchase or payment. Donations (see Section 6) do not affect odds or outcomes.

4. COMMUNITY ADMINS (FUTURE FEATURE)

We may appoint verified community admins to help moderate:

  • User-submitted questions

  • Flagged questions

  • Username/content violations

  • Support requests

Community admins never have access to:

  • Email addresses

  • Payment information

  • Donation history

  • Authentication credentials

  • Billing records

  • Sensitive personal data

Admins only see:

  • Submitted questions

  • Usernames

  • Avatars

  • In-app support messages

  • Question statistics (correct/wrong counts)

5. TRIVIA HOST FEATURES (FUTURE FEATURE)

Users may create custom trivia games, teams, and scoreboards.
We store:

  • Game configuration

  • Team names

  • Scores

  • User-generated content

By using these features, you grant us the right to store and use this data for:

  • Hosting

  • Game replay

  • Performance analytics

  • Future features related to custom trivia hosting

Your content must not violate copyright. Do not submit copyrighted question sets (e.g., Jeopardy, bar trivia packages, or commercial content you do not own).

6. DONATIONS (“TIP JAR”)

The App may offer optional in-app purchases classified as tips or donations.

Important:

  • Donations are 100% optional.

  • They unlock no gameplay advantages.

  • They do not affect contest outcomes.

  • They provide no additional entries, boosts, hints, or extended time.

All donations are processed securely by Apple. We do not receive or store your payment information.

7. HOW WE SHARE YOUR INFORMATION

We do not sell personal data.

We may share data only with:

  1. Supabase – our backend provider (secure, encrypted).

  2. Apple – for authentication, IAP processing, crash logs, and compliance.

  3. Administrative moderators – limited to content moderation (see Section 4).

  4. Service providers solely used to operate the App (analytics, error reporting).

We never share:

  • Emails with other users

  • Payment data

  • Account credentials

We may disclose information if required by:

  • Law enforcement (legal obligation)

  • To protect our rights or users

  • To investigate abuse or cheating

8. DATA RETENTION

We retain:

  • Account profile: as long as your account remains active

  • Gameplay logs: for analytics, fair play, and contest integrity

  • Question submissions: indefinitely, unless removed

  • Support requests: for record-keeping

  • Deleted account data: removed within 30–90 days

You may request account deletion at any time.

9. ACCOUNT DELETION

You may delete your account through the App.

Deletion permanently removes:

  • Profile

  • Username

  • Avatar

  • Friends list

  • Trivia history

  • Battle logs tied to your identity

Data that is anonymized or aggregated (e.g., “this question was answered 42 times”) will remain.

10. CHILDREN’S PRIVACY

The App is not intended for users under 13.
If we learn that a child under 13 has created an account, we will delete it.

Weekly contests with cash prizes may require users to be 18+.

11. SECURITY

We use:

  • Supabase row-level security (RLS)

  • TLS encryption

  • Authentication tokens

  • Access controls

  • Secure Apple-managed payment APIs

No system can guarantee 100% security, but we take reasonable steps to protect your data.

12. YOUR RIGHTS

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

  • Access your data

  • Request deletion

  • Update username/avatar

  • Object to certain processing

  • Export your submitted questions
